Obituary for Lois I. Eberhardt

PEORIA – Lois Eberhardt, 87, of Peoria, died at 11:08 a.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2017, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Lois was born on May 6, 1930 in Peoria to Manassa and Ella (Getz) Eberhardt. They preceded her in death as well as her 2 sisters, Anna Hayes and Ella “Mazie” Thomas; and nephew-in-law, Alan Boaz.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Steven Hayes, Tim (Janis) Hayes, Sally (Randy) Knecht, Lois Boaz, Barb Thomas, and Peggy (Jeff) Cooke; 9 great-nieces and nephews; and 8 great-great-nieces and nephews, with one more coming soon.

Lois was an accountant for Sears for 42 years. She will be remembered by her nieces and nephews like a second mother.

Lois was a long time member of the First Free Methodist Church in Peoria. She was very active in the church and volunteered in many ways to serve her church family.

A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 14, 2017 at First Free Methodist Church, 2121 N. Sheridan Rd., Peoria, IL 61604, with Pastor B. Elliott Renfroe officiating. There will be a visitation held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria with an additional visitation held one hour prior to service on Monday, August 14, at the church. Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.

Memorials may be made to her church.
